It’s Time to End Black Market Cannabis

Black market retailers are selling unregulated and dangerous cannabis products all over Missouri. Let’s close the loophole on illegal cannabis once and for all.

There are now more black market retailers in the state of Missouri than legal ones. These stores are selling unsafe products, siphoning millions in tax dollars from veteran’s and local initiatives, threatening jobs from licensed operators, and selling these dangerous products to those underage. It’s up to us to stop them. Check out our resources and learn how you can get involved.

WHY IT MATTERS

  • Unlicensed dispensary products test positive for heavy metals

    Unsafe Products

Unregulated shops and products have zero safeguards for contamination, mislabeling, youth exposure, and the absence of any remedy when things go wrong.

    Protect yourself and your community.

  • Unlicensed cannabis dispensaries sell dangerous products to kids.

    Underage Risks

These stores are selling black market or counterfeit products, often without asking for ID. They’re untested, unregulated, and often mimic the packaging of popular candy and snack brands. The risk to children is real and growing.

  • Unlicensed weed stores do not pay state or federal taxes.

    Lost Tax Dollars

Untaxed black market dispensaries are siphoning tax dollars away from Veteran’s, schools, and other community initiatives that are mandated by the state constitution and city ordinance. See the impact here.

  • Unlicensed cannabis stores take jobs from locals.

    Lost Jobs

Illegal dispensaries don’t require lab testing, compliance reviews, security, and other roles the regulated cannabis industry does. As they proliferate, they’re killing the specialized high-skill jobs created by the legal cannabis industry.
